집으로 사람들을 초대하는 경우에 대해서 이야기해 주세요.

나는 종종 집에 사람들을 초대한다. 가장 흔한 모임은 가족 모임이다. 저녁 식사나 점심 식사를 함께 하러 친척들을 집으로 초대한다. 이러한 행사를 위해서 가족들과 한자리에 모이면 기분이 좋다. 친구들을 집으로 초대하는 경우도 있다. 예를 들어, 집들이를 했을 때 친구 몇 명이 집으로 와서 같이 저녁을 먹었다. 그리고 가끔 이웃들이나 교인들을 집으로 초대한다. 이러한 모임은 그 사람들과 친해질 수 있는 좋은 기회가 된다.

 

❝ Talk about times when you invite people to your home.

I invite people to my home from time to time. The most typical gatherings are family get-togethers. I invite my relatives over for dinner or lunch. It's always nice to get together with family for these occasions. Plus, there are times when I invite friends over. For example, when I held a housewarming party, several friends visited my home and we had dinner together. Next, I sometimes invite my neighbors or my fellow church people to my home. Those gatherings are good opportunities to bond with those people.

나는 주말마다 가족 모임을 갖는다.

다음 주에 너를 만나고 싶어.

 

3. bond with ~와 친해지다

▪ Those gatherings are good opportunities to bond with those people.

이러한 모임은 그 사람들과 친해질 수 있는 좋은 기회가 된다.

잘 모르는 사람들과 친해지는 것은 쉽지 않다.

▪ We were able to bond with our colleagues at the retreat.

우리는 야유회에서 동료들과 친해질 수 있었다.

최근에 집에서 한 파티에 대해서 이야기해 주세요.

최근에 집에서 아버지의 생신 파티를 했다. 72번째 생신이셔서, 친가 쪽 친척들을 초대해서 점심 식사를 같이 했다. 파티를 위해 일부 음식은 집에서 했지만, 중국 음식을 배달시키기도 했다. 먹기 전에 상을 차리는 것을 도왔다. 다 같이 먹으니까 음식이 유난히 맛있었다. 생일 케이크도 준비했다. 아버지를 위해서 생일 축하 노래를 다 같이 불고, 아버지께서 케이크 위의 촛불을 불어서 끄셨다. 파티가 끝나고 나서 치우는 것을 도왔다. 남은 음식이 조금 있어서 냉장고에 넣었다. 또한 설거지를 하고 상을 닦고 쓰레기도 내다 버렸다. 되돌아보면, 아주 즐거운 생신 파티였다.

 

❝ Talk about a party you had at home recently.​

I remember having my dad's birthday party at home recently. It was his 72nd birthday, and we invited our relatives on my father's side over for lunch. We cooked some food for the party but we also ordered in some Chinese food. I helped set up the table before we are. The food tasted extra good because we all are together. We also had a birthday care ready. We sang the birthday song for my dad and he blew out the candles on the cake. After the party, I helped clean up. There were some leftovers, so I put them in the fridge. I also did the dishes, cleaned the table, and took out the trash. Looking back, it was a very enjoyable birthday party.

▪ There were some leftovers, so I put them in the fridge.

남은 음식이 조금 있어서 냉장고에 넣었다.

파티가 끝나고 남은 음식이 많았다.
