❚ STEP1

미세 먼지 경보가 발효되면 어떻게 하는지 이야기해 주세요.

미세 먼지 농도가 높은 날에는 가급적 외출을 안 하려고 한다. 꼭 나가야 하는 경우에는 마스크를 착용한다. 약국에서 미세 먼지를 걸러 낼 수 있는 특수 마스크를 판매한다. 그런 제품을 써야만 효과가 있다. 또한 미세 먼지가 많은 날에는 창문을 열지 않는다. 집안 환기를 하는 것이 실내 공기의 질을 더 나쁘게 하기 때문이다. 그리고 공기 청정기를 꼭 가동한다.

 

❚ Talk about what you do when there are fine dust alerts.

On days with high concentrations of fine dust, I try not to go outdoors. When i really have to, I wear a mask. Pharmacies sell special masks that can filter out fine dust. Only those products have an effect. Also, I keep the windows shut when the fine dust is bad. Airing out the house actually makes the air quality indoors even worse. I always turn on the air purifier, too.

대기 오염을 해결하기 위해 진행되고 있는 일들에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

미세 먼지는 우리 호흡기에 드어가면 각종 질병을 유발할 수 있다. 그래서 정부는 미세 먼지 농도가 높은 날에는 여러 가지 미세 먼지 저감 조치를 실행한다. 배기가스를 많이 배출하는 차량의 운행을 제한하는 것이 하나의 에이다. 그밖에도 인공 강우를 유발하는 연구도 진행 중에 있다. 미세 먼지가 발생하는 원인은 국내에도 있지만, 중국에도 있다. 그러나 중국은 이러한 주장이 과학적 근거가 없다며 강하게 부인하고 있다. 대기 오염 문제를 해결하려면 국제적인 공조를 해 나갈 필요가 있다.

Fine dust can give rise to various illnesses if it makes its way into our respiratory system. The government puts into action various reduction measures on days when there is a lot of fine dust. For example, they limit the operation of cars with high emissions. Research is also under way to create artificial precipitation. Causes of fine dust can be found in Korea, but China also shares the blame. But China strongly denies this, saying there is no scientific basis. Solving air pollution will require nations to work hand-in-hand.
